It’s Time for Tea!!

Hey kids (and parents)! Did you know that sharing tea time together can help your brain feel calm, happy, and full of focus? Tea time isn’t just about sipping from a cup—it’s a fun ritual that brings families closer, sparks imagination, and supports your child’s mental and emotional wellness. With the right teas (like herbal blends safe for kids), this simple practice can become a comforting daily tradition.

For Ages 4–6:

  • Host a pretend “tea party” with stuffed animals or dolls.
  • Let kids choose a special teacup and help stir in honey.
  • Make up a silly story together while sipping your tea.

For Ages 7–10:

  • Create a “tea tasting adventure” by trying fruity herbal teas and describing the flavors.
  • Play “Tea Party Charades”—act out different tea-related words like “honey,” “lemon,” or “steam.”
  • Decorate napkins or placemats to make tea time extra special.

For Ages 11 and Older:

  • Teach kids how to steep their own (kid-friendly) tea and talk about mindfulness while waiting.
  • Share “rose and thorn” reflections—each person says one good thing and one challenge from their day.
  • Journal together during tea time, writing down thoughts, doodles, or gratitude lists. So gather your mugs, favorite teas, and cozy spots—it’s time for tea, together.
