Just for Kids: The Great Outdoors

Hey kids (and parents)! Did you know spending time outside can make you happier and healthier? Playing in the fresh air helps your brain relax, your body move, and your imagination grow. Taking a break from screens isn’t just good for your eyes—it’s great for your mood too!

Here are some fun outdoor activities for kids and their families:

For Ages 4-6:

  • Go on a “nature treasure hunt” to collect leaves, rocks, or flowers.
  • Blow bubbles and chase them around the yard.
  • Create chalk art on the driveway or sidewalk.

For Ages 7-10:

  • Fly a kite or play catch in the park.
  • Build a fort using sticks and natural materials.
  • Organize a backyard obstacle course.

For Ages 11 and Older:

  • Plan a family bike ride on a local trail.
  • Play team sports like basketball or soccer.
  • Try geocaching to discover hidden treasures in your area.

Remember, the best memories are made when you’re active and having fun with your loved ones. So put down the electronics, step outside, and enjoy the adventure waiting for you! Upcoming Events
