A Message For Parents: Understanding Your Childs Mental Health
This month, we’re raising awareness about the importance of children’s mental health and helping parents recognize when a child may need extra emotional support.
Children don’t always have the words to explain what they’re feeling. Stress, anxiety, sadness, or emotional struggles may show up through changes in behavior instead.
Signs a child may be struggling can include:
- Mood swings or irritability,
- Changes in sleep or eating habits,
- Withdrawal from family or friends,
- Trouble focusing or changes in school performance,
- Increased worry, sadness, or frustration
